    - MPO APC to LC / MTP APC to LC 12F breakout cable maps a single 12-fiber MPO / MTP connector into 6 duplex LC connectors.

    - The polarity method of these cables dictates how the Transmit (TX) and Receive (RX) lines are routed between the two ends. There are 3 types of polarities as below: 

    + Polarity  Type A (Straight-Through)

    Pin Mapping: Fiber 1 on the MPO connector connects to Fiber 1 on the LC connector, Fiber 2 to Fiber 2, and so on.

    Key Alignment: Uses a Key-Up to Key-Down configuration.

    Use Case: Primarily used to connect to pre-terminated backbone trunks in standard, modular cassette deployments. Because LC ports are duplex (TX/RX), you will need to "cross" the TX/RX with a standard A-to-B patch cord on one end to ensure the signal reaches the network receiver.

    + Polarity Type B (Crossed / Rollover)

    Pin Mapping: Fiber 1 on the MPO connects to Fiber 12 on the LC side, Fiber 2 to Fiber 11, and so on.

    Key Alignment: Uses a Key-Up to Key-Up configuration.

    Use Case: This is the most common method for direct transceiver-to-transceiver connections (e.g., 40G/100G parallel optics) and breakout applications, as it provides the correct TX-to-RX flip internally.

    + Polarity Type C (Pair-Swapped)

    Pin Mapping: Pairs of fibers are flipped; Fiber 1 on the MPO maps to Fiber 2 on the LC, Fiber 2 maps to Fiber 1, and so on.

    Key Alignment: Uses a Key-Up to Key-Up configuration.

    Use Case: Typically used for pairwise swapped structured cabling directly to LC duplex channels, though it is less common for modern parallel optics.
