KCO QSFP+ 40G LR4 LC 40Gb/s QSFP+ LR4 SMF 10km LC Transceiver
Description
+ QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus): This is the small, hot-swappable form factor for the module, which supports aggregated optical speeds of 40G.
+ LR4 (Long Reach 4): This designation indicates that the transceiver is designed for long-distance applications and uses four separate wavelengths (channels) for data transmission.
+ 40G: Refers to the total bandwidth of the connection, achieved by running four independent 10G channels simultaneously.
+ Single-Mode Fiber (SMF): LR4 modules use single-mode fiber optic cables for transmission, enabling longer reach distances compared to multi-mode fiber.
+ CWDM Technology: The four 10G channels are combined (Multiplexed) onto four different wavelengths, typically centered around 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm, allowing them to travel over two single-mode fibers.
+ LC Connectors: Single-mode LR4 modules use standard duplex LC connectors for easy connectivity.
+ Hot Pluggable: The module can be inserted or removed from a network device without shutting down the power.
+ Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM): This function allows network administrators to monitor the real-time operating parameters of the transceiver, such as temperature, voltage, and optical power levels.
