Description

+ The KCO-OSFP-800G-SR8 800Gbase high speed fiber optic module is a high-bandwidth transceiver for short-reach (up to 100m) multimode fiber applications, primarily used in data centers, high-performance computing (HPC), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) environments for applications requiring low-latency connections.

+ It enables switch-to-switch, switch-to-server, and network adapter connections within a 51.2T network architecture, supporting both Ethernet and InfiniBand protocols.

+The 800GBASE-SR8 OSFP optical transceiver module is designed for 800GBASE Ethernet throughput up to 50m link lengths over OM4 multimode fiber (MMF) using a wavelength of 850nm via dual MTP/MPO-12 APC connectors.

+ This transceiver is compliant with IEEE P802.3ck, OSFP MSA standards.

+ The built-in digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) allows access to real-time operating parameters.

+ The twin-port OSFP finned-top transceiver is used in Ethernet air-cooled switches.

Working method

Twin-Port Design: The "SR8" designation indicates 8 lanes of 100G-PAM4 modulation, which is often split into two independent 400G channels (2x400G) within a single OSFP module, utilizing two MPO/MTP-12 connectors.

Multimode Fiber: It uses 850nm wavelength VCSELs and multimode fiber (MMF) for high-speed data transmission over short distances.
